Final Race on 25 January 2020 Total Prize Money of R 600 000 What more can we say...

Hotspots

There will be three Hotspots flown over distances of 150km, 200km and 300km. The first three pigeons on each Hot Spot will win, R 10 000, R 5 000 and R 2 500 each respectively. Only paid pigeons will compete for the prize money.

The Route

The route that has been chosen is the one best suited for racing over the summer months. Young bird racing in January on this route has been tough but not as tough as over the mountains towards the central area of South Africa. Competitors can expect heat and head winds. The deciding factor for this route is that the pigeons will be liberated very early in the morning, the sun rises at 05h30, and it leaves us with a 14 hour daylight period. We aim to have the birds back in the loft before the real heat of the day begins.

Ace Pigeon

The Ace Pigeon competition will be the bird with the best average over the 3 Hot Spots and the Final Race. The Prize money will be - 1st R 20 000, 2nd R 10 000 and 3rd R 5 000. Only pigeons paid before the first Hot Spot are eligible to compete in the Ace Pigeon competition.
